The association members had worn black badges as part of their agitation on April 30, he said and added that the association will continue with the present agitation till May 5 cautioning that unless the government act up on their demands, the association will launch other forms of agitations.

However expressing his concern for the students who are always at the receiving end whenever the teachers go on strike, he said the association always try not to let their agitation or demonstrations affect the students and manage to take their classes.

He lamented that the present state Education Minister M Okendro Singh on April 15, 2013 had said at a function at the Gandhi Memorial School, Churachandpur when he assured to entitle revised UGC basic pay to the part time lecturers with effect from April 1, 2013.
