IMPHAL, May 8: Local womenfolk and club members of Langjing Achouba area today staged a sit in protest condemning the blast near a petrol pump located in the area on 6 May. The blast site is along the Imphal Jiri road on National Highway number 37 under Lamphel police station in Imphal West.
The sit in protest today was organized by the Langjing Ahchouba Women Welfare Association.
Speaking to the media person on the sidelines of the protest, Angom Premabati Secretary of the Langjing Achouba women welfare association said that the association condemned the blast that took place in a crowded area and sought clarification over any groups responsible for the same.
