IMPHAL, June 6: In synchronization with the initiative of the HQ IGAR South, 27 Sector of Assam Riffles observed the “Go Green Fortnight’ with effect from June 1 to June 6, 2013, said a press release of the PRO, IGAR South. A series of events was organized during the fortnight which include sapling plantation, awareness campaign on environment issues. Over one thousand saplings of ornamental, fruit bearing and other forest trees were planted at various locations in Churchandpur district.
