KANGPOKPI, June 30: The Kuki Inpi Sadar Hills is likely in a position to welcome the month of July with a 48 hrs total bandh in the state which is also likely to be followed by a series of intense agitations.
While speaking to this correspondent, the Inf and Pub secretary of the organization N Haokip said that, we had been waiting patiently for the government’s speedy action and have also provided enough time to fulfill its promises made to the bereaved families of the two villagers of Bongbal Kholen who were allegedly killed in May last as well as to the Kuki Inpi Sadar Hills including the KSO-SH.
He further averred, “We have reminded the government several times in this regard but to no avail”.
“Consequently, we made a final reminder through some printed media by threatening to launched various forms of agitations starting with a 48 hrs total state wide bandh giving the deadline upto June 30 but it seems they are not going to move with humble approach”, said N.Haokip.
Haokip also said,” We are deciding very soon to take the final decision and start launching our series of agitations beginning with the 48 hrs total state wide bandh likely by the first week of the new month.”
