IMPHAL, June 19: A male dead body was found today at about 4:30 am at a roadside some 200 meters away from the Youth Hostel, Khuman Lampak under Imphal police station in Imphal West district.
According to reports, people who came for jogging at Khuman Lampak Sports complex came across the dead body following which, the police was informed.
The deceased who looks like a tribal seemed to be around 20-25 years of age, and was wearing a yellow T-Shirt.
There was an injury mark on the back of his head as if he was hit by a hard object, the source said.
The dead body has been picked up by the police and deposited at the RIMS morgue for post mortem.
