Manipur BJP team attends national executive meeting

IMPHAL, June 7: The national executive meeting of Bharatiya Janata Party started from 9 AM today at the Maria Sheraton Hotel, Panaji Goa. Th Chaoba Singh, State BJP President, Sh Shantikumar Sharma former State President & National Executive Member, BJP and S Premananda Sharma, State General Secretary (Orgn) were the delegates from the BJP Manipur Pradesh in the National Executive meeting, said a press release issued by M Asnikumar Singh, general secretary (administration/publicity & propaganda), BJP Manipur Pradesh.

Narrating some of the events of the national executive meeting of BJP, the press release said that there was a meeting of National Office bearers of BJP in the morning session. In the post lunch session, another meeting of national office bearers, State Presidents and State General Secretaries (orgn) was also held. Discussion was made minutely on the agenda of the forthcoming 14th Lok Sabha election. For Lok Sabha election in Manipur, the Parliamentary constituencies of the State are divided into Inner & Outer Parliamentary Constituency and the meeting nominated M Asnikumar Singh, General Secretary (Adm) and Dr. N. Nando Singh, Convener, State Core Committee, Political Affairs Committee and Policy Working Group as ‘Lok Sabha Guardian’ and ‘Lok Sabha Convener’ of Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency respectively; and Danny Shaiza, Ex-MLA and Yanglet Haokip, National Council Member, BJP as ‘Lok Sabha Guardian’ and ‘Lok Sabha Convener’ of Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency respectively.

In the meeting, Th Chaoba Singh strongly condemned the mysterious death of a state girl recently in South Delhi. Attention was drawn from the National leaders of BJP towards the physical harassment to the students of north east states racial profiling, derogated comments and sexual offences against north east women, even leading to the murder of women including the recent incident in South Delhi. The matter shall be paid serious attention and National leaders of BJP shall kindly initiate action to book the culprits and punish as per law of the land so that such action might not be repeated in future, it concluded.
