IMPHAL, June 6: Umanglai Kanba Apunba Lup (UKAL) has said in a press release that a team of UKAL led by its general secretary inspected the Lai Harouba gounds at various Meitei inhabited villages of Assam so as to celebrate Lai-haraoba without breaking the tradition in the run up to the Lai Harouba ceremony.

Expressing apprehensions that traditions, customs and rituals are being gradually endangered with the passage of time, the statement said UKAL is trying to preserve the practices and traditions of Lai harouba by conducting inspection tours and holding discussions on Lai haraouba.
