Indian Ambassador to Myanmar visit Haipi and Kpi

    KANGPOKPI, July 29: The Indian Ambassador to Myanmar, Gautam Mukhopadhaya on the sidelines of his visit to Manipur, paid a visit to his in-laws family today at Haipi Village and Kangpokpi in Sadar Hills.

    The Indian Ambassador to Myanmar Gautam Mukhopadhaya is the husband of Nengcha Lhouvum of Kangpokpi, the first IFS officer among the Kuki community.

    The Indian Ambassador to Myanmar while on his visit to Manipur on official duty also paid a visit to his brother in-law SL Boikho, a retd Principal of Churachandpur College at Kangpokpi and later went to the residence of the first IAF Officer among the Kuki community Late retd Wing Commander, Lamkhohen Misao, who was also an ex-member of MPSC, to condole his death.

    He also paid a visit to the grave of the deceased.

    At Haipi, the Ambassador was accorded a warm welcome by the Village Authority of Haipi, He planted an Ashoka tree saplings in front of the Village Community Hall, where the retd IAS Officer Kaikam Kipgen and former Kpi AC MLA Thangminlen Kipgen and others village elders including the village authority members accompanied him.
