Kuki bodies allow Senapati bus to resume services

KANGPOKPI, July 29: The Kuki Inpi Sadar Hills and others Kuki civil bodies today after a meeting at Kangpokpi at around 2 pm dediced and allowed Senapati to Imphal bound passenger buses to resume their normal activities from today after the KTU, NSCN/GPRN revoked its decision of “collecting donations” today in their clarification made in some dailies.

Mentione may be made that, the Kuki Inpi Sadar Hills and others Kuki civil bodies condemned the notifications of KTU, NSCN/GPRN served to some Kuki villages chiefs and bus owners from the Kuki community plying between Senapati and Imphal and subsequently ban the service of Senapati to Imphal bound passengers bus for the passed 4/5 days.

Chungkam Haokip, president Kuki Inpi Sadar Hills said that, as the KTU, NSCN/GPRN organizations has decided to revoke its decision of “collection donations” and meeting, we had a meeting today at Kangpokpi and decided to revoke the ban on Senapati to Imphal bound passenger services and subsequently allowed them to resume their respective activities.

He also appreciated the cooperation of Senapati to Imphal bound passenger bus owners and drivers in showing the KTU, NSCN/GPRN organization of their ugly unwanted activities which can bring unrest communal tension in the areas thereby compel them to take the right decision in felicitating harmony and peace among the tribal communities.

In the meantime, the Kuki Inpi Sadar Hills chief also warned the KTU NSCN/GPRN to avoid such ugly unwanted activities which can cause communal tension.
