Life skill awareness camp concludes

KANGPOKPI, July 20: A two Day Girls` Life Skill Awareness Camp under Saitu Gamphajol Block organized by the Office of the Deputy Inspector of School, Gamnom Sapormeina concluded today at BRC Gamnom Sapormeina with Seikholet Singsit, Dy Inspector of School/DDO, Saitu Gamphajol Block as chief guest of the valedictory function.

30 girl students from C Munnom UJB School, Saitu Govt High School, Bishnulal Jr High School, Radiant Star Education, Kanglatongbi and S L Memorial Hr Sec School under Saitu Gamphajol Block participated in the two day long Life Skill Awareness Camp.

The participants were taught Flower Making and Hand Knitting Skill during the two days long camp by four resource persons including two in flower making and two in hand knitting.

Neikim Chiru and Teresa Chiru were the two resource persons in Flower Making while Lamkeng Hangshing and Lhilhing Sitlhou were the Hand Knitting resource person.

A part from the day chief guest, Seikholet Singsit, Dy Inspector of Schools/DDO, Saitu Gamphajol, the valedictory function was also attended by some staffs of the Office of the Deputy Inspector of Schools, Sadar Hills, Saitu Gamphajol.

“I am very much delighted and thankful to the Dy Inspector of School/DDO for imparting a skill which I have never learn befor by organizing such an important camp particularly for girl student under Saitu Gamphajol Block”, said Mushkan, a class VIII student from Radiant Star Education, Kanglatongbi and Neihoithem, a class V student of C.Munnom UJB School who are among the participants in the two days camp.

Neikim Chiru, flower making resource person distributed start up raw materials to the participants and encouraged them to practice in their spare time at home to boost up their learning.

Seikholet Singsit, Dy Inspector of Schools/DDO, Saitu Gamphajol in his speech said that this kind of skill awareness camp has been organized at Motbung, Saitu, Bethel,Bishnulal, Kanglatongbi, District Council, New Keithelmanbi and Bungte Chiru in the past.
