Loaded tankers to reach Imphal soon

    IMPHAL, July 27: Several tankers, which had left Imphal on July 25 for transportation of fuel for the state, have reached Jiribam yesterday, along the National Highway no 37.

    The tankers which have reached Jiribam include 11 LPG Bullet Tankers and 17 petrol tankers.

    Moreover, another ten loaded tankers would be passing Badarpur, Assam today evening, and is expected to reach Jiribam soon. Apart from this, another 25 empty tankers are also in the process of loading petroleum products from different parts of Assam.

    The report further said that for the loaded tankers which have reached Jiribam, necessary arrangement has been made to reach Imphal on July 29 with security escort.

    However, according to officials of Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) based in Imphal, there has been request made to State Government to provide special escort on Sunday for the loaded trucks so that it could reach Imphal safely.
