BSEM to debar schools violating code of conduct

    IMPHAL, August 31: It has come to the notice of the Board that some of the schools recognized by the Board have been sending up students from unrecognized schools as their own students for taking the HSLC Examinations, said a notification of the Board.

    This practice is in contravention of existing rules and regulations prescribing code of conduct to be followed by the recognized schools, the notice said.

    In this regard, all recognized schools are requested not to indulge in such unfair practices, it said and further continued that it is also reiterated that all such students from unrecognized schools aren’t eligible to take the HSLC examination and their names shall be deleted from the list of candidates.

    It has also been decided that in the event of any such malpractices, the defaulting schools (recognized schools) shall be liable to pay a fine of Rs 1,00,000/- (Rupees one lakh only) failing which the school shall be debarred from sending up candidates for any future HSLC examination, it said.
