IMPHAL, August 31: The Federation of Government College Teachers’ Association, Manipur, FEGOCTA today said in a press release that the first ever general body meeting of all the government college teachers of Manipur was held today at GP Women’s College.
The meeting was presided over by its president L Randhoni Devi, said a press release.
L Randhoni, president, FEGOCTA in her key note address focused on various issues faced by the government college teachers like issues of biometric attendance and other pending issues. Representatives of various colleges highlighted the problems faced by the college teachers and issues relating to higher education in Manipur.
At the end of the deliberation, the general body adopted resolutions including approval and confirmation the formation of Federation of Government College Teachers` Associations, FEGOCTA; approved and confirmed the office bearers of the FEGOCTA and executive committee in the unification meeting of government college teachers held at Imphal College on June 20, 2013 and executive committee has been entrusted to nominate the other office bearers.
