Trinamool Congress condemns extension of govt service

    IMPHAL, August 9: The Manipur Pradhesh Trinamool Congress Committee has today said in a press release expressing that the extension of service when one has attained retirement age is a bad precedent and further continued adding that this practice has encouraged nepotism and favoritism.

    It is further said in the press release that it will be better for the people of Manipur to discontinue the services of the departmental heads, especially the Chief Secretary, DGP, Directors of Agriculture, Education and Industries etc after attaining superannuation of their services while adding that in doing so will give a solace to the perplexed Manipur society, it said.

    The press release further gave more stressed against the extension service to post of DGP in such a time Manipur police had bitter experiences of having crimes which were allegedly involved many police personnel, it said.
