CLP meeting discusses Food security bill

    IMPHAL, September 4: A Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting was held, chaired by the Chief Minister at his bungalow today. The meeting was attended by cabinet ministers and other officials of the State government.

    Education minister and spokesperson of the CLP, M Oken stated that the meeting deliberated on the encroachment issue and land being lost to the Myanmar side. It was resolved that the border issue will be addressed with top priority and not a single inch of land belonging to Manipur will be given to the other side.

    The National Food Security Bill was also deliberated and the system of distribution through the deputy commissioner of the State was also discussed at length. The improvement of the law and order was also discussed.
