IMPHAL, Oct 18: In exercise of the powers conferred by Article 223 of the Constitution of India, the President has appointed Justice Nongmeikapam Kotishwar Singh, Judge of the Manipur High Court, to perform the duties of the office of the Chief Justice of that High Court with effect from the date Justice Abhay Manohar Sapre, Chief Justice, Manipur High Court, relinquishes charge of the office of the Chief Justice of Manipur High Court consequent upon his transfer as Chief Justice of the Gauhati High Court, informed a press release from Ministry of Law and Justice (Department of Justice), Government of India.
