IMPHAL, December 26: The Manipur State Illness Assistant Fund cheques amounting to Rs 3, 51, 125 were distributed to 14 beneficiaries living Below Poverty Line organized by the Chief Medical Officer Imphal West at the DC, IW complex today.

Speaking at the function as chief guest MP, Dr T Meinya said that more emphasis is needed for Home, Health and Education departments for the welfare of the state, even though, the government has been taking up various schemes for the welfare of the people.

He elaborated that the cheques provided today is for health care of those who are living under the BPL.

He appealed the people of the state to get the advantage of such schemes and projects given for their benefit.
