KNO/KRA observes Rising Day

IMPHAL, Dec 29: The Kuki National Organisation/Kuki Revolutionary Army (KNO/KRA) celebrated its 14th Rising Day at designated camp “Gamnom” in Senapati district today.

The flag was hoisted by Kuki Inpi Saikul Gamkai (KISG) president, Thangkam Lupheng which was followed by a parade carried out by its cadre and two minute silence was observed in remembrance and respect to the departed soul of their colleagues.

In the sideline, Jeremi Khongsai, KRA Home secretary said to media persons that KRA entered the Suspension of Operation (SoO) on August 2008 for a political settlement under the banner of KNO Arm Wing.

He added that “our KRA founder K Hangshing sacrificed his life for the people of Kukis, till today KRA solemnly pledged to continue the fight and struggle for the Kuki.

In the meantime, Jeremi also wishes his revolutionary friends in particular and to all the general people of the state for the coming New Year 2014.

Chairman, David Hangshing, general secretary, Johnson Hanshing and Defence secy. cum Army chief, Andy Vaiphei. Apart from them KLO/KLA general secretary Timothy Kuki and home secy Edy Kuki were present at the Rising day.

The surrounding church leaders, pastor, village chief and some invited guests also attended the function.
