MOREH, December 24: Myanmar today sealed the international border with India along the Manipur segment near Moreh since 8 am and organized a public rally participated by more than 1000 students and other individuals displaying placards which read as Don’t Spoil Myanmar India Friendship, Respect International Territory Law, We Don’t Accept Trespassing Myanmar Border Territory and Kabaw Valley is Under the Sovereignty of Myanmar Nation etc.

The rally affected the normal business of the Namphalong market thereby causing hindrances to the people who came there with the hopes of marketing for Christmas festival. Also, the Myanmar citizens who used to cross border for selling vegetables and day to day consumables items could not make it to Moreh Bazaar.

Young people from the town of Tamu, in Myanmar`s northwestern region of Sagaing, have planned the protest over boundary dispute between Myanmar and India.
