IMPHAL, December 23: Construction of a 100 bedded hospital will be inaugurated at Sagolmang on January 14 with a vision of completion by 2015, said Manipur Legislative Assembly speaker Th Lokeshwar today.
Addressing a workshop on Mahila Congress cum Mass Enrolment and Reconstitution of Khundrakpham Block Mahila Congress Committee at Sagolmang today as the chief guest, the speaker also elaborated on the importance of the youths in bringing development in a society.
He said that the youths need to be well qualified and educated. People need to think positively and encourage development, he said before adding that the youths should shoulder a big role in bringing development to the state.
He further said that communication is also needed to bring development.
Every individual should understand their responsibilities in bringing development, he said before adding that sometimes sacrifices are also needed.
The workshop was held at the Speaker’s residence and was organised by the Khundrakpam Block Congress Committee, Imphal East.
Ng Ibohal Singh, president of the block Congress committee attended as the president while, RK Ranisana Devi president Manipur Pradesh Mahila Congress Committee attended as the guest of honour.
RK Ranisana expressed that the women has to play an important role in bringing development to the state.
She further said that once the woman can enter into the decision making bodies in the state, women will control the state.
She appealed to the people especially the women to work from the grass root level in bringing development.
