JIRIBAM, December 23: The United Tribal Liberation Army (UTLA) held a press meet at Leishang Village, Muktakhal today clarifying that the outfit was not involved in the kidnapping of drivers.
Addressing the press meet-Seinou Guite general secretary, UTLA, SK Group clarified that they are not involved in the kidnapping of driver and said the outfit highly condemn such kidnapping and extorting money.
He said his group had signed the SoU in July 2013and laid down their arms and entered the mainstream for peace.
The outfit further appealed to the group or organisation involved to clarify through the newspapers at the earliest to check any misunderstanding, he said.
“Let’s celebrate Christmas and Happy New Year peacefully”, he called on.
