IMPHAL, January 19: A 17 year old girl found wondering in the Ningthoukhong bazaar area by locals was handed over to the Bishnupur Police by the chairperson Bishnupur Municipal council today.
A press statement issued by officer in charge Bishnupur police, Ingoucha said that the 17 year old girl was found wondering in the Nigthoukhong bazaar area at around 4.15 pm yesterday.
According to the press release, the girl is around four and half feet tall, with fair complexion and wearing a green wraparound (phanek).
It further said that a medical examination of the girl was conducted at the Bishnupur district hospital and later kept under the supervision of the police.
It further urged the concerned family members to contact the Bishnupur Police and the Child Welfare Committee, Bishnupur district.
