AMESCO to organise seminar

IMPHAL, January 29: The All Manipur Ethnical Socio- Culture Organisations (AMESCO) is organising a seminar on the first week of February to discuss about the growing trend of corrupting ethnic Manipuri language with foreign language.  

Announcing this during a press conference held today at AMESCO office, its president Nando Samjetsabam, further informed that several resolutions will be adopted during the seminar which later will be spread to other districts through awareness programme.

Further briefing on the on the objective of the seminar, Nando opined that it was to correct the misused of Manipuri language which has been influenced by foreign language.   

He further maintained that the rich Manipuri language not only is a mere language for communication but also evoke discipline and respects in an individuals.

Nando expressed the need to stop at the earliest in order to preserve the rich culture and language.
