Cabinet decides to upgrade 9 junior high schools

IMPHAL, January 31: The state cabinet has decided to upgrade nine Junior High Schools to High School and to create 54 posts in contract basis under RAMSA.

A media briefing was conducted in this connection by Government’s Spokesperson M Okendro, after the cabinet meeting late this evening at his Secretariat Office Chamber.

Elaborating on the developments of the meeting, M Okendro further divulged that meet also approved to engage five number of male nurse on contract basis in Manipur Jail Department.

At the same time, the meet also gave its approval for creation of Assistance Executive Officer/Assistance Executive Officers in Nagar Panchayats and Municipality areas.

The meeting further resolved to hand over of all road construction works (related to inter village roads) to BRO which are not under the PMGSY and those covered by the Defence, which included the road stretch from Kamjong Chashat to Nampisha, Namphisa to Khudengthabi, Gamnong to Chamu and Phangrei to Melluri.

Some agenda has been deferred including the re-organisation of the DIPR.
