CCPUR, January 14: T Phungzathang, minister of Health and FW/GAD/CADA said that a district plan like the state plan had been formulated for the development of the district, and said the plan had been successful on numerous ways.
He said, he had on many occasions come across criticism but had never allowed it to deter him.
He further requested the media to be responsible, and understand their role.
The minister was addressing a select group of people including media persons.
He say that during his term as the IFCD minister, the Khuga Dam, locally known as the Mata Dam, had been completed, after it had remained dormant since some time.
After the completion of the dam, the people have water supply, even though the power sector continues to be a failure as of now.
He also said that the radio station and Mini-Secretariat will be completed very soon.
He further continued that in a few weeks’ time, additional labour room and operation theatre will be inaugurated and the Tiddim road is being upgraded to a double lane road with the blacktopping under process.
“Guite road has been upgraded to NH, and is called NH-102B”, he said.
