IMPHAL, January 10: The Manipur Police has today adopted a new strategy of conducting search operation in the form of ‘house to house’ verification as a pre-emptive measure to thwart any untoward incident in view of the ensuing 64th Republic Day celebration in the state.
Adopting the new strategy, Imphal East district police commandos launched a massive search operation conducting verification of family member of each household this evening around 4.30 from Harikhabok Makhong to Thumbuthong.
Moreover, frisking and checking duty has been intensified in strategic points of Imphal.
