SI/Jamadar body laments govt

IMPHAL, January 24: The All Manipur Sub-Inspector of Police (SI) and Jamadar Association has denounced the failure to hand over the appointment letters to the selected candidates for six months.

Ch Bedanta, treasurer of the association said that the notification for the examination came on February 2010. On January 3, 2011 the written exam was held and on December 23 the same year, the result for the exam was declared. On September 5, 2012 the vive-voice was held and its result was declared on August 6. The process for verification by the Manipur Police was started on August 8.

Sanjiv Thounaojam, the president of the association said that though the selection of candidates for the post of SIs and Jamadars were announced there had been no subsequent action for the last six months. He disclosed that in this regard, memorandums had been submitted to the chief  minister, home minister and DGP. He hoped that the will get their demands will be fulfilled in the near future.
