IMPHAL, February 22: Aam Aadmi Party, Manipur has today announced that it will field candidates in both the inner and outer constituencies of the state for the upcoming 16th Lok Sabha election.
Addressing media persons today at the newly opened New Checkon office of the party’s Manipur campaign committee, state convenor, Hareshwar Goswami said the selection of the candidates for the election will be finalised by February 25 and the announcement will be made by the first week of March.
Lok Sabha Constituencies campaigner M Priyobrata Singh is presently in Delhi to train on election campaigning, he continued.
He said the party has been organising several awareness campaigns including Jhadoo Chalaao Yatra from February 15-24, under the motto of sweep away dirt from the society.
The 1st Aam Aadmi Party, Manipur convention will be held on February 26, 2014 at the Iboyaima Shumang Leela Shanglen, Konung Lampak; block campaign committees will be opened soon; while the door to dor campaign will start from March 1 and continue till March 31, 2014, he said.
