FREINDS, Jiri continue drive

JIRIBAM, February 8: FREINDS Jiri branch, nabbed eight individuals while trying to sneak into Manipur at Jiribam this morning and made them return after their failure to provide proper identification papers.

According to a volunteer of the body, the eight were unable to produce identification papers to proof that they were Indians, and hence made to return back.

The eight had identified themselves as Rojon Hussain Choudhury, Rahim Uddin Choudhury, Sitalahnu Laskar, Kalam Uddin Choudhury, Rakob hussain Lasker all from Sonai Assam, Rajesh Phulmali son of Mothawa Phulmali of Digli Cachar, Assam; Topon Ghar son of Dawp Ghar of Digli Cachar, Assam and Subhash Phulmali son of Arjeen Phulmali of Digli Cachar, Assam.

Today’s drive was conducted in collaboration with the Jiribam Police, Foreigner Check Post.
