MACS employees to join strike at New Delhi.

IMPHAL, Feb 10: A 10 member team of Manipur State AIDS Control Society Employees’ Association (MACSEA) will join the hunger strike at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi, said a statement of the association. Under the initiative of All India AIDS Control Employees’ Association, State AIDS Control Societies across the country is on indefinite strike since 30th January demanding seven charters, it said.

As informed by All India AIDS Control Employees’ Association, MACSEA today decided to send a team of 10 members to represent MACS for the all India strike at New Delhi. MACSEA representatives will leave Imphal on February 11 and will join the second phase of the hunger strike at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi, it said.

Today MACSEA continue its relay hunger strike at RD Wing Lamphel, it may be mentioned that MACSEA launched its strike from January 30, as part of all India strike called by All India AIDS Employees’ Association.
