IMPHAL, February 6: Implicating that India’s policy has always been deceiving, the Maoist Communist Party, Manipur has announced to boycott the parliamentary election including the CPI candidates alleging that it was CPI’s conspiracy that had brought down Communist movement of Manipur.

A statement issued by secretary publicity and propaganda of the outfit, Nonglen Meitei, stated that the armed movement of communist led by Hijam Irabot was at the zenith.

However, after the death of Hijam Irabot, the communist movement was put at the receiving end owing to surrendering of arms by some vested interest individuals under the instigation of India, it said.

Referring to the deceitfulness of India’s policy, it said that the failure to find a solution to the more than decade old peace talks between India and NSCN-IM exemplifies the intent of India.

Given the situation the so called peace talk can be construed as surrender policy and accepting this would be betraying the people, it contended.

Maintaining that Maoist Communist Party is preparing for a greater armed revolution, it appealed the general public not to trust in deceitful policy of India.
