IMPHAL, Feb 10: A team of the Manipur State Commission For Women, MSCW led by Dr L Ibetombi Devi visited the residence of Sapam (o) Roma Devi of Thoubal Wangmataba Mathak Leikai under Thoubal Police Station on February 8 to investigate into the death of S (n) Takhellambam Binita alias Abema Devi wife of T Akash Singh.
Chairperson MSCW was accompanied by MSCW member Hodam (o) Piteswori alias Memi Devi; legal advisor MSCW and other staff of the commission, said a press release of the MSCW.
It said the visiting team had a brief interaction with the family of the deceased woman who was found death with some injuries on her body on February 6, 2014.
The mother of the deceased women, Roma Devi had requested the commission for stringent punishment of all culprits who is responsible for the death of Binita, it said.
