IMPHAL March 24: An 18 year old girl was found hanging dead in a mysterious condition near her rented house at Langjing Achouba near the Central Reserved Police Force Group Centre second gate this early morning under Patsoi Police station.
The girl has been identified as Hijam Abe daughter of H Dhanajit of Uripok Polem Leikai and at present staying in a rented house at Langjing Achouba.
Her body was found hanging with a piece of cloth by family members hanging from a wooden plank supporting a shop next to her rented house. The shop adjacent to the road was elevated from the ground supported by wooden planks to level with the road.
Family members took her down and rushed her to RIMS where the doctor on duty declared her brought death.
Her family has accepted the body after post mortem was conducted at the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, RIMS.
Police have taken up a case regarding the incident.
