3 more file nominations for Outer seat

IMPHAL, March 22: The last day of the filing of nomination papers for Outer Constituency of the upcoming Lok Sabha election witnessed three more individuals file their nomination papers today.

With the seven who filed their papers yesterday, altogether 10 candidates are in the fray for the outer seat.

Returning Officer of the constituency for 16th Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency (ST), T Ranjit deputy commissioner, Thoubal said that today three candidate have submitted their nomination papers.

He identified the three as Khamchinpao Zou of Aam Adami Party from Churachandpur district; Lamlalmoi Gangte alias Moi Moi Gangte of Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) from Tamenglong District and independent candidate Amarson Samkhil from Churachandpur district.

While scrutiny of the nomination papers will be conducted on March 24, Election Day for the outer constituency had already been fixed on April 9, 2014.

The last day for the withdrawal of candidature will be on March 26 for the Outer constituency.

Ø    Aam Adami Party candidate Khamchinpao Zou

Ø    Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) Lamlalmoi Gangte alias Moi Moi Gangte

Ø    Independent candidate Amarson Samkhil
