Anganwadi workers flay bomb attack

IMPHAL, Mar 1: Angnawadi workers and womenfolk of Machengpat, Andro today staged a sit in protest against the bomb attack of February 25 at an anganwadi centre in Andro.

The demonstrators held placards reading “We want peace,” “Not to keep bombs in the public places and to drop terrorist outlook”.

Speaking to media persons, president, All Andro Meira Paibi Association, Asheibam Tamu appealed for clarification on the bomb threat.

Lamenting that the bomb was planted at such a risky place, where children go for their education, she further questioned who would be responsible if the bomb had exploded and any untoward incident occurred to the students.

She said the attack is highly condemnable and further appealed to all concerned against repeating such acts.
