JIRIBAM, March 14: Armed miscreants reportedly abducted the supervisor of Coastal Project Private Limited engaged in the construction work of Jiri-Tupul railway late last night.
The victim has been identified as one Subodh Kumar Dev, 24, son of Malai Dev of Jiribam Khangbor, Kachurbari Jakuradhor under Borobekra.
Sources informed that Subodh Kumar was abducted around 10:30 pm from tunnel number one situated at Kulbung Leishabithol under Tousem Sub-division, while he was working.
The motive behind the kidnapping is not known. Moreover, it is still not clear whether the company had lodged a formal complaint with the police as the place of incident falls under Tamenglong police.
