ATSUM calls emergency meeting with Private Schools, VA

KANGPOKPI, March 12: All Tribal Students` Union Manipur (ATSUM) today called an emergency meeting to be held on March 15 at its Administrative office at Tribal Market, New Lambulane, Imphal.

The emergency meeting has been call to discuss the outcome of the talk between the student body and the state government earlier regarding Class X syllabus and police boundary said Maharang, Secretary ATSUM.

The ATSUM solicits all principal and headmaster of private run schools and village chief/chairman of all villages of hill districts of Manipur to attend the meeting.

“The state government has always been playing a spoil sport in tribal related issued till now,” asserted Maharang before adding that the state government is capable of only promises and assurances and not tuning it into action.

Therefore, it is high time for the tribal people to stand united for their own cause, added Maharang.

The emergency meeting is a sensitive one therefore it will be wise on the part of the concerned individual called upon to attend the meeting without fail noted the student body.

In the meantime, the student body president Emboi Serto once again warned the State government against regularization of adhoc teachers in the state without following the rules of ST quota.

The student body have already asked the State Govt. to regularized adhoc teachers only if ST quota is to implement accordingly asserted Emboi Serto before warning that if anything happen not according to the student body demand the Govt. should be held responsible for it.
