Concentrate on basic needs, urges Goa dy CM

IMPHAL March 14: The state government of Goa provides a lot of jobs for the people. Every girl above 18 gets Rs1 lakh for her marriage, every class X students gets a tablet, students above class XI a laptop and other benefits are provided by the Goa government. But it can’t be emulated in Manipur and other states because they are ruled by the Congress party.

This was stated by Goa deputy chief minister, Francis de Souza while addressing a BJP election rally in Noney.

Adding that Manipur doesn’t need big industries for development, he said that what we need to do was concentrate on our specific primary needs such as water, electricity and transport.

“If you want change than throw the Congress party out,” he urged the people. “We should not trust the Third front because they are only interested in winning elections but after the elections they would give support to the majority party. So forget about third front.”

For good governance, we don’t need guns or to fight but we simply need to cast our votes. BJP is the only party that can solve people’s problem, he added.

Discounting a BBC report  which suggested that BJP was a Hindu party, Prof. Gangmumei Kamei reacted to the  report by saying that  those allegations are    wrong because BJP is a secular political party. But now after the modi wave, the international media has changed its stance. The ideas of Modi are so practical and his speech  during his Imphal visit bears testimony to that fact. The Naga-Kuki and Meitei Pangal problems can only be solved by the BJP.

After 60 plus years of independence, many states of our country have already tested development like Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Goa but in Noney ,or Manipur, that is still happening because Manipur has bad governance, said president of BJP, Manipur Pradesh, Th. Chaoba Singh.
