IMPHAL, March 13: Noted writer Nongthongbam Kunjamohan will be conferred with Gopal Sharma Award 2014. The award is annually given in celebration with the World Poetry Day organised by Sahitya Thoupang Lup, Imphal.
To be awarded on 21st March at 11:00 pm, Manipur Press Club, this year’s World Poetry Day will also have ‘Festival of Elangbam Nilakanta’ as a special feature. A book written by the author will be released, followed by poetry reading and photo exhibition.
Gopal Sharma Award includes Rs 10000 cash, a citation, memento and a shawl, said a release by the convener of the celebration committee.
