IMPHAL, March 5: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) is going to organize an Earthquake mega mock exercise at Thoubal and Imphal on March 13, 2014, under the State co-coordinating officer by creating a mock earthquake of magnitude 8.7.
The above statement was announced by the media advisor of national disaster authority, Tripti Paruli at a press meet held at the Hotel Classic, Imphal today.
Speaking to the media person she further said that mega mock exercise is the first in 80+location and 16 cities all over the north east.
She further appealed to the mass media to co-operate and help in spreading the awareness amongst the people. During the exercise, it will help us learn about what more needs to be done to meet the need in the hour of emergency.
