Sharmila deplores state`s failure to produce her before Patiala Court

IMPHAL March 28: Hunger strike Irom Chanu Sharmila today strongly discontented the attitude of the state government for failing to send her to New Delhi to appear before the Patiala Court for the second time.

Speaking to media persons outside the JMIC Imphal East, Sharmila told that she was summoned by the Patilia Court New Delhi to appear before the court on March 29.

Sharmila was produced before the JMIC Imphal East today as a part of her routine appearance since she was lodged in judicial remand for ‘attempt to suicide’ case lodge against her.

The Court remanded her in further judicial custody for 15 more days (till 12 April).

Despite her desire to present in person before the Patiala Court the State government was not sending her again on the pretext of lack of fund, she said.

Sharmila is due to appear before the Patiala court on March 29 in connection in connection with the hunger strike protest staged at the Jantar Mantar, in 2006.

She also missed similar summon earlier wherein the court sent a summoned to appear before it on January 30.

Meanwhile, Sharmila also clarified on the very recent controversy of Ibobi personally invited her to join the congress party.

Sharmila further expressed her dissatisfaction with her supporters judging from the turn out during her recent released from the Judicial Custody fifteen days back.
