Skeletal remains found at Senapati

KANGPOKPI, March 11: A skeletal remains was found today from inside the Mayangkhang jungle near Taphou Kuki village in Senapati District under Senapati police station.

According to a police source, the skeletal remain was found by some youth who went for a picnic party in the jungle which has a water pool.

They found the skeleton near the water pool and informed Senapati police at around 2 pm this evening.

The source further added that body is suspected to be of a lad whose missing report had been registered some time back at Senapati Police Station. The skeletal remain will be retrieved tomorrow morning in the presence of forensic expert as well as other concerned department along with the family and relatives members who have lodged a missing report.

The spot is approximately 25 Km from Senapati Police Station.
