Soft skills and personality development program held at CAU

IMPHAL, March 8: A three-day training programme,organised by Director of Instruction, CAU, on ‘Soft Skills and Personality Development’ was held on Saturday at the College of Agriculture in Central Agriculture University( CAU).

Dr M Rohinikumar, director of research, CAU was the chief guest, Dr JM Laishram, dean, Colleges of Agriculture, CAU was the guest of honour and Dr Sarbjit Singh Nagra, Director of Instruction ,CAU, was the president respectively.

Dr M Rohinikumar said that soft skills are intrinsic in an individual.

It helps people to communicate and win the hearts of people. Even if an individual have good education and knowledge but no soft skills then he will not prove effective in his work. North-East people are introverts. People have poor communication skills and such programmes are needed to develop good soft skills in students helping people to succeed in life, he added.

JM Laishram said that soft skills and personality development are very important in an individual’s life.

“Good communication skill is needed to face an interview and to in still confidence to students. If the students are having good skills then he will succeed in their life.”
