IMPHAL, APRIL 16: The Office of the District Election Officer: Imphal West District has said in a press release that arrangements are made in order to regulate systematic flow of traffic during the General Elections for the dispersal and return of Polling Parties on April 17.
On April 17, from 3pm onward after the polling, vehicles transporting the Polling Personnel and the polled materials will alight at the Eastern Gate of DC’s Office opposite Excise Office and pass the route through the Office Complex of the Imphal West Zilla Parishad towards the Fisheries office complex and move towards the Uripok Kangchup Road through Thoudam Leirak, said the DEO, Imphal west district in a press release.
It further said that for those who have parked their vehicles at the various parking sites except inside the Office complex of DC’s office, Lamphelpat shall move out their vehicles from the parking sites after completion of the election duty positively. For the officers and officials of the office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Manipur, their vehicles may be allowed to pass through the route leading to its office on production of their service I/Card. All vehicles coming towards DC’s office from Laishram Leirak and RIMs shall be regulated at Laishram Leirak Machin at the Uripok Kangchup road junction. The route leading from RIMS Ring Road towards DC’s Office, Imphal West shall be restricted at the meeting point of NG college by-lane and the ring road near the gate of Directorate of Commerce and Industries, Lamphelpat. The route from Langol Game Village towards DC’s office shall be restricted at the meeting point of the Chingangbam Leirak/Mohan Motors with the ring road near the north western corner of CRFP’s Camp.
And also the route coming from the direction of Minor Irrigation towards the DC’s office shall be restricted at the gate of the Court’s Complex at Lamphelpat, it said.
