IMPHAL, April 27: The All Tribal Disables’ Union, Manipur (ATDUM) and the Ukhrul District Disables’ Organisation (UDDO) have jointly cautioned the people against fake organisations.
A press statement of the two organisations has said that UDDO formerly known as Association of Persons with Disabilities (APWD) is a unit of ATDUM.
It has alleged that Chungmi Ragui claiming himself as the president of the Association of Persons with Disabilities, Ukhrul District has been misguiding the people of the state.
President of the UDDO has filed a case against Chungmi Ragui where the court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Imphal West has summoned him to appear on April 30, 2014, further claimed the statement.
ATDUM filed an RTI to the Deputy Registrar of Societies, Ukhrul seeking information about the issue and found that although the association was registered with the registrar, CHungmi Ragui is neither the president nor a member.
Also during the General Council Convention held on March 24, it was decided that the Letter Head without the logo of ATDUM will not be used at the head office and in the districts of ATDUM, it said.
