IMPHAL, Apr 17: The Chief Minister of Manipur, O Ibobi Singh expressed his great pleasure in greeting the people of Manipur and to the Christian brethren on the occasion of Good Friday. The CM said that Good Friday signifies the compassion and sacrifice of jesus Christ for the humanity. The Crucifixion of the Lord Jesus and the resurrection on Easter Sunday is a reminder of the message that evil can never be conquered by violence and hatred but by the goodness, non-violence and love for the enemy because goodness and truth always triumph over evil.
The CM also wished the people a Happy Easter and wishes the solemn occasions strengthen the bonds of unity and spread hope and joy to all.
