Jiribam contract lecturers to attend election duties

JIRIBAM, April 7: The All Jiribam Contract Lecturers’ Association (AJILCA) has decided to attend election duty of the 16th Parliamentary Election of India 2014 despite government’s indifference to the long suffering contract lecturers considering that discharging duties to the election process of the country is mandatory, said a press release issued by the general secretary of AJILCA, M Romeo Singh.

It is notable that the contract lecturers of the Jiribam sub division under the aegis of AJILCA has decided on February 15, 2014 last to abstain from duty by boycotting BOSEM and COHSEM conducted examinations and also the 16th Lok Sabha Elections demanding to regularise the contract lecturers. However the teachers’ body decided to participate in the 16th Lok Sabha Election 2014.
