KNF(N) clarifies on arrested individuals

IMPHAL, April: The KNF (N) has claimed that the two persons reportedly arrested by the security as their outfit, as was published on April 13, 2014 are not related to the outfit.

It said, Angom Santa of Phaiyang Chingkhunou and Angom Tomba Singh of Phaiyang Chingkabam, both in Imphal West district, have no any connection with the outfit as claimed by Security forces.

They were arrested while collecting money from Awlmun and Khubong area (Jiri-Road.

The outfit was trying to nab the two, when the SF arrested them.

“From their inputs, we came to know that both arrested by security forces belongs to a faction of KCP. Therefore, to have better ties with our brethren Meeteis in future as well, they were given chance to report and correct themselves accordingly without taking up any urgent action,” it said.

“In connection with the abduction of Letsei Haokip of New Lambulane on April 14, 2014 around 3:30pm, our special inquiry team came to know of 70% clues and they are ask to release Letsei Haokip and surrender themselves to our GHqtrs  “Daitwi Camp” sooner else they will face dire consequences.”

It continued that the two were involved in the kidnapping of the driver of deputy director/Horticulture Kailoulien Kipgen from his Chassad Avenue residence, the son of Haomang Lupho chief of Maphou (Kuki) Dam at his residence in New Lambulane, and Letsei Haokip recently.

On the other hand Jangminlen Kipgen S/o Paoneh Kipgen of Nungmanbi/Bongbalkholen village was once a temporary member of this outfit for 3months without Army Number. However, he was released from the “Base-Camp” in November 2013 as we learnt that he was a Psychiatric patient. Since then he has no relation with this outfit under any circumstances anymore, said the release.
