IMPHAL, Apr 29: Troops of the 22 Assam Rifles under the aegis of the HQ IGAR (s) have established a mobile check post in the general area of Tangjeng Khunou Village, it said in a press release.
According to a statement of the PRO IGAR (S) a PREPAK cadre was apprehended on April 28.
The arrested has been identified as self styled l/cpl Sagolsem Abung Meitei, 25, son of S Khamba Meitei of Singjamei Chinga Makha, Imphal West. A 9 mm pistol with magazine and three live rounds were recovered from his possession, it said.
The apprehendee along with the recovered items have been handed over to Sugnu Police station said the PRO HQ IGAR (S), it said.
