BJPYM lodges complaint to CS regarding power failure

IMPHAL, May 29: The state Bharatiya Janata Party’s Yuva Morcha has lodged a written complaint to the Chief Secretary regarding the power failure during the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday.

According to the written complaint, the swearing-in ceremony of 15th Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, which was a historic event and attended by more than 5000 dignitaries including various leaders of SAARC countries on May 26, was telecasted live in all channels in India and the people in Manipur also wanted to witness the ceremony.

Unfortunately, the people of Manipur were deprived of witnessing the event due to power outage throughout the state just before the ceremony was about to begin and the power returned after end of the ceremony, the complaint conitues.

It further stated that a similar incident happened when Narendra Modi was in Imphal to address a public meeting of mammoth gathering at Langjing Achouba Ground on February 8.

BJPYM urged the chief secretary to take up appropriate action against those officials involved in the matter in the interest of the people of Manipur.
